Lynna & Jesse Willoughby

Two of my most favorite people got married a couple weeks ago, and I had the distinct privilege of photographing their day. I was a little partial to this wedding firstly because I've known Lynna since she was about 10. I've known Jesse for about 8 years. Wow, time has flown. Seemed just months ago that they started dating.

Their choice for the ceremony and reception, The Corinthian Event Center in downtown San Jose, was extremely classy. The place had Lynna written all over it. This was a very lovely and emotion filled wedding. More than most I've been to. Everyone could tell this was a couple truly in love. It was very magical.

I did some off camera strobing along with lots of black and white. Her vintagesk, (is that a word) dress I think called for it. By the way that dress was designed completely by Lynna, wowzers, right? Leading the front of the pack in one pf the above picture is Kuyah, (big brother in Tagalog) Ryan. Matter of fact, Ryan is MY best friend and he was the guy who designed the Hassas Photography logo. Truly talented and from the pictures you can tell he loves his sister.

For those that stop by and know Lynna & Jesse, take a minute and write note of congrats. I'm sure they'd appreciate it. Take care and enjoy the pics.

BTW~ the HAM you see riddled through these faves of mine is Ryan's son Luke. He is pure awesome. He prayed for all the groomsmen while getting ready. He was dead on image of Ryan when he was younger, but now he is looking more like his momma.

Kellen Royer Family Session

Tom Sayer or Dennis Mitchell? That's what comes to mind with this WONDERFUL session. Meet Kellen. In all honesty, he has a very sweet demeanor and is far from a "Menace" but his looks, outfits and "boyness" were just too similar not to think of it. Mom and Dad gave me a location they wanted to use and frankly, that seldom works well. I have to see it and feel it to make sure the vision will match the execution. Too many photo sessions only sound good on paper. NOT this one. This location worked fantastically. Way to go Stan (Dad)! I love, love LOVED it!!

We did three outfit changes ending it all with a creek session with a frog I had bought to liven things up. He loved it and even named it. "Chudo", was that what it was guys? My plans were to give it to Kellen or let it go in the creek. To my surprise when I was buying the frog at Petsmart, they had me sign a contract noting I'd care for it and not leave it out in the wild to be preyed on. God bless frogs. Frogs rule. Frogs forever!

Enjoy the images. Take care.

Skerbek/Powell Family Session

Great session with 2 sweet families. I have been through Sunol many times and aways thought it would make a great backdrop for any type of session. Got my wish and took these guys there a few weeks back.

I've know Tim, (On the bench with daughter, pushing in tricycle shot) for many years and we even play
Call of Duty 4 on Xbox box live. Tim of course in a noob and I lay the smack EVERY time we play. BTW, my Xboxlive account name is Samsauce if you feel the need for a beat down. Seriously, I'm that good. That's his daughter with him and his wife Jen. All great folks.

Joe and Brenda had an extra moment with me after eating some Bronco Billiys Pizza, (tell me that wasn't the best you've had!) to do some cool evening shots with trick lighting. Kinda of a mini engagement session with the only difference being that they are already married. They still act like newly weds. Thanks for the cooperation guys. They came out great.

The tricycle has been my prop of the week so be sure to tune in and check out other sessions I had a chance to use it in. Take care and enjoy the shots.
