Hamburger Shark!

So 2 of my son Ethan's favorite things in the world are Thomas the train and Toy whales and sharks. Yeah I said whales and sharks. Do you know any other 3 1/2 year old's that know THEIR whales species? I think not. My son's awesome. Matter of fact, my son will beat up your son.

Hernandez :: Family "Portraits" : Session

The Hernandez's are very close to my family. Mama bear, (Sonia) babysat Ethan for us on MANY occasion and to that we are eternally grateful. "Uncle Lobert" ,(my son has trouble with R's) is the the buff daddy in the session. Lastly, Hailey, Tyler and Fin wrap up this very awesome family.

Chose a fall theme for their shoot and the location was literally just up the hill from us. Had an hour+ session and cranked out quite a bit in a small amount of time. Thanks for the help holding reflecters and lights guys. They didn't know they were gonna be my assistants.

Time is winding down for getting you're family Holiday cards in time for Christmas. My cut off for getting proofs back in time to order cards etc is November 15. If you're session is scheduled after that day then, getting cards in time for the Christmas is very unlikely. Call or email me for you're session bookings.

Enjoy the shots.

Stark :: Family "Lifestyle" Session

Good photographer friend of mine came to me with the privilege of shooting her family as their custom is once a year. If you need a fabous photog to shoot you're wedding, family baby, dog, cat or tupperware then Rebecca Stark is you're girl. Gave her a few ideas for what I wanted to do and they were all for em. Shot this one in Santa Cruz. Started downtownish and ended at Natural Bridge beach. Such awesome sports and up for anything I threw at them. My favorite shot has to be the sequence of bro and sis fighting. LOVE THAT! I also really love the amber family shot at the beach. Rebbecca, you're family is soooooo cool. I hope I make you just as nervous shooting mine! :)

For viewers not familair with this tyle of shooting, it's considererd "lifestyle". Posing takes the back seat and only hints of what's normally found in traditional potraits surface. Much of our shots are "camera unaware". Be the time a viewer is finished with the looking at the set, a stronger sense of - "I know the family more now", should hit. Did I succeed? Enjoy the shots guys.

Post Wedding Sessions

One of the option I have in my packages is a post wedding session. So much is rushed on the wedding day that at times were not allowed the intimate, well thought out scenes that can be done in a post wedding session. In short, the bride and groom once again don the attire of their most special day and we hit the town for an hour or so and make some more magic. These extra images are a perfect cap for the album. If you're a current client or a past client, it's never too late to consider have a post session to seal you're memories.

A.J. & Mike~ Took them to downtown San Jose. As random as the waterpark shot is I love it. Will it go in the album? Probably not but it will make it to my blog. :) The black and white dancing shot is one of my all time favorite images I've ever done. LOTS of romance there.

Jesse & Lynna ~ Went to Standford U for their post session. he shot of Jesse spinning her was a copy from a shot we did during their engagement session. Love that! Lynna is such a pretty bride.

Jessica & Jimmy ~ Shot theirs at Santana Row. Been there before but did all new stuff in all new locations. The taxi shot ranks up there with the A.J. & Mikes dancing shot. One of my all time faves!!!!

Take care guys.

The Hassas Boys

Thought it's been a while since I posted some shots of my own family. Life at the Hassas house has been quite eventful actually. A couple weeks ago the whole house was sick. Jon~Paul, (my younger one cut his first two "teefers". Ethan, (Superboy) was bit by a mosquito 5 times just before waking up one morning. Problem is, he's allergic just like his momma. Moni sent me a text image of him while I was driving home from shooting a wedding in Sacramento. I arrived home at midnight and the 2 of us spent 3 hours at the emergency checking this out to make sure it wouldn't get worse.

Now no one can accuse me of never posting family pics. Hope all is well. Take care.

Jon~Paul, A.K.A. - Goo-Goo's

Poor guy.
Here he is, very tired and traumatized by the 2 shots the doctor had to give him in the butt. Even still he can't forget it. If I ask him what the doctor did he furrows his eyebrows, make a mean face and says, "he hurted my boodie"

Any resemblance between us? A little maybe, right?
Next day in a much chipper mood after eating a grilled cheese. Who wouldn't be?
